Oh my gosh, I forgot all about this blog! I've read so many good books between April and July, I can't review them ALL! Anyway, I'll just give you SILENT READ-AND-RUNNERs (one comment, no followers! Just plain sad :[ ) an update on some good books:

Hershey Herself

Meet Hershey Hollenback. Before, it was just her and her Mom, and then Slade West, her Mom's abusive boyfriend, comes along and moves in, bringing his Job List and terrible ways with him. He's the reason for Hershey's bad eye, and also the reason Hershey, her baby half-sister Ella and her Mom are now hiding in a battered women's shelter. She wonders now if she'll be able to be in the talent show with her best friend, Phoebe, or who will take care of her cat, Augustus Gloop. Mostly, she worries about ehr family--what will happen?

In the shelter, Hershey meets many people--Deleetha, the bad mom; Gracie, with missing teeth; Josie, who dreams of being a singer; Rose, who worries constantly about her abusive grandfather, and Lupe, who helps her uncover the talent Hershey never knew she had.

Can Hershey do it?

Theodora Twist

Theodora Twist is Hollywood's It-Girl who has it all--the clothes, the house, and her two amazing boyfriends, Bo and Brandon Bellini, the Bellini Brothers (A bit like the Jonas Brother, hmm?)

To Theodora, it's no biggie--just a month with some family, with some girl she used to know. But can Emily cope?

Great book towards the middle...the beginning is a bit, ahem... I give it maybe 7 stars, and reccomend it for girls ages 13-16. By Melissa Senate.
